Yushu is an interior designer trained at Pratt Institute,
where she developed a cross-disciplinary approach
grounded in material research, cultural context, and the
relationship between time and space. Her work explores
how interiors can carry narrative depth—whether through
crafted details, adaptive reuse, or the layering of history
and daily rhythms.

Her professional experience spans high-end residential,
hospitality, and conceptual research projects, including
the design and project management of a villa residence
and collaborative work at Studio MBM in New York.
Across these experiences, she has honed skills in spatial
design, hand sketching, custom furniture development,
lighting and material selection, and client coordination.

She is motivated by opportunities to collaborate on
cultural, commercial, hospitality, and residential projects
that transform heritage and reinterpret place. She
hopes to bring her material sensitivity, technical rigor,
and interdisciplinary perspective to teams that share a
commitment to thoughtful and narrative-driven design.
